Quick Introduction to Leveling DoL/DoH
There are three gathering classes and eight crafting classes. I recommend allowing one gatherer and one crafter to reach the maximum level before others in order to farm end game currencies as soon as possible. Hopefully, you can find some useful information here that can prepare you for the end game.
Before touching any crafters and gatherers (DoH and DoL), you should progress through the main story beyond Heavensward 3.3 Revenge of the Horde, namely, the conclusion of “Litany of Peace”. This is a level 60 quest and concludes the Heavensward storyline. A list of patch quests can be found here. From this point, you may pick up your DoL and DoH jobs.
Grind your Gatherers and Crafters to 20. This is easily done by quick synthesis on any of the initial recipes. Ensure that you are using food for additional exp bonus and that you are also part of a Free Company since many FCs run a bonus experience buff for either gathering or crafting, sometimes both. Your next step is heading to the Firmament aka Ishgardian Restoration. The reason for getting all DoH and DoL jobs to 20, is because gatherers compliment crafters by finding their materials. Also, some recipes require different materials made from different crafters.
Leves are an option but keep in mind that these are gated by your allowances per week.

Collectables and Deliveries
The Collectable system is a very good way to level up your gathering or crafting. They work on the idea that a NPC needs a high quality item and multiple amounts of it. Your reward are gathering or crafting scripts which can be used to buy gear and useful items like baits, GP potions, materia and furnishings. This is also similar to the way Beast Tribes will require you to have these items of high collectability. Many players, though, can find this intimidating because it is a complete and new aspect to simply gathering and crafting.
Players can unlock Collectables as a system by completing the level 50 quest Inscrutable Tastes. Players start the quest by talking to Morgayne in Foundation (X:10.1 Y:10.4). It requires the prior completion of the Heavensward MSQ The Better Half.
Additionally, further levels of the Scrip Exchange are unlocked in each expansion, along with that expansion’s Custom Deliveries clients thereafter:
There are several things that revolve around the idea of collectables. But it will be up to you to decide on the best way to devote your time.

Gathering Collectables
Your main goal with gathering collectable: get as many 1000 Collectability items with a full bar of GP. Some gathering nodes are gated behind fieldcraft books on the Splendors Vendor. These require scripts as well from the initial Hidden nodes so they would be used to unlock Legendary and Folklore nodes.
Crafting Collectables
With your leveled up gatherers and unlocked nodes, your goal for these crafting collectables is getting near or maximum collectability with a particular item which is basically 100% High Quality. Some crafts are easy but if you are impatient to learn crafting rotations, the tool Teamcraft will allow you to search for such against your crafting stats. It can also generate in game macros and create crafting lists.
Ishgardian Restoration
Unlock the Firmament aka Ishgardian Restoration. This begins in Foundation. Open your recommended quests menu and you should find “Towards the firmament”. A list of quests can found here. At the end of this questline, the firmament is unlocked. Keep in mind that crafting uses the collectable system excluding gathering.
The reconstruction of the The Firmament demands a large amount of materials specific to the project. Disciples of the Land are tasked with gathering these materials, which are used by Disciples of the Hand to craft the necessary supplies.

Upon unlocking Ishgardian Restoration, Disciples of the Hand or the Land of at least level 20 or above may speak with Potkin in the Firmament (X:12.2 Y14.6) to have project-specific crafting recipes and gathering points added to their logs.
- Crafting recipes and gathering nodes can only be viewed by Disciples of the Hand/Land who have reached at least level 20.
- There are additional materials and recipes at levels 40, 60, 70 and 80. After 80, experience per item is capped at 1,000.
